I don't understand what is so enticing about arguing about subjective stuff like music on a message board.
Why not find a new band to listen to, write a song, or even go outside?

I'm not reading this thread. I have better things to do. Making a few points:
a) If Opeth are 'selling out', they aren't likely to care if a few old-school fans are upset. So stop wasting time.
b) Lots of people bought the DVD. It provides viewing pleasure. What is wrong with releasing something that is good to watch? Nothing. If it gives you no pleasure, don't buy it, if it does then do.
c) We're yet to see Opeth make a bad album. If you won't listen to a slightly mainstream band even if their music is good, you need to grow up.
d) If you're pissed 'cause you think Opeth's musical quality has declined, move on and find a different band.
