According to Hits Daily Double, SLAYER's "Christ Illusion" (American/Warner Bros.) is poised to sell between 55,000 and 60,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land in the Top 10 on The Billboard 200 chart.

I gave this a 4 out of 6. As good or better than the rest of their post-Seasons work, but not by miles. Definitely good enough to warrant the 10 bones, but not enough to really get the blood pumping.

I just read some of the lyrics to this album and they made me go because I <3 when Slayer gets all political. That is when they are at their best as far as I'm concerned.

Also while I don't have a problem with old rock bands getting soft when the Metamucil days take hold, it is quite refreshing to see bands like Slayer still giving the middle finger and remaining insane like they always have been.

Finally anyone who doesn't listen to Slayer is a pussy. I'm tired of beating around the bush and saying "oh well it IS all personal tastes" because no. A lot of you are pussies.
