Henbane is cult and the new Antediluvian rips too. I still check out new music but I'm losing the cognizance of what album is what year. Making lists of each year's best releases is becoming somewhat difficult to process.

When it comes to that I prefer Portal Lovecraftian-horror atmosphere over Antediluvian's menstrual weirdness. Actually, I think I like Impetuous Ritual the best, but they aren't that fucked up/weird when compared to these two.

3) Amon Amarth – Deciever of the Gods
4) Suffocation – Pinnacle of Bedlam

That’s it for now. I still am waiting for the new Fleshgod Apocalypse to come in the mail. Release date is today so that should be soon. I’m anticipating that making the list but I’ll wait until I listen to the whole thing. I’m also excited for the new Dream Theater album, but we’ll see how that turns out. I liked the new track they released, and they have a tendency to release the weakest track on the album as as single for some reason.

I still need to pick up the new Deeds of Flesh, and it sounds like I need to get the new Gorguts album too. Also want that Summoning album and I want to get the new Carcass as well, but it wasn’t all that thrilled with the one track they released and reviews on here seem to be “good not great” to “sucks balls”.

All in all, I spent most of this year collecting vinyl and older albums that I wanted; either way it’s still been a good year, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some albums too.

If I were to speculate what the best post-black metal album of the year will be for me, I would lean away from Sunbather. It's an excellent first listen, but just doesn't have much return value for me. I'm thinking it will either go to the new Castevet, or the new Altar of Plagues.

I cant wait for the new Castevet. If it is anything like Mounds of Ash, it will definitely be a top contender to earn the title...The new AoP, big disappointment for me.

Dude, Nick McMasters is playing bass for those fuckers now. It'll be 10x the album Mounds of Ash was, and that shit was groundbreaking.
