Sweet cover man!

I finally decided last night that I should throw something fast together for the second COBOT Album, and since evey body seems to be in the mood for recording clips, here is a short sample of what I've been doing in the past 24 hours

Just click "play Hi-Fi"

I decided to not write this in guitar pro (how I usually write songs) so I wrote it as I recorded it piece by piece. I just used the Line6 Tones for scratch guitar tracks and was going to re-record them later with something else but I'm kind of digging the balls it has. I'm going to re-record them anyways just because they are sloppy but I might use the Line6 stuff on the final recording.

oh and my old band is talking about maybe getting back together for the summer, but idk lol

Dude I love it, agree with Necro very Kalmah(ish) :kickass:

@Necromancer197666: Awesome solo dude! Really nice playing, and it sounds really good. The first bit does sound like it were Alexi playing it

Awesome chops man, super clean. details on recording setup?

Thanks! Well, it's Line 6 Toneport in which I used the JCM 800 copy, the Screamer and the SM57, if you want I can send you the preset. Then I've recorded it with Cool Edit Pro 2.1 and done a bit of eqing here and there, first to each track and then for the track as a whole. I don't really know the terms, but I just increased a couple of dBs and had a lows cut on 100Hz if any of that makes sense (for the track as a whole, for each instrument I had loads of different ones).

Thanks man! As you said, it does sound quite Kalmah-ish, but sounds fucking cool! I agree with Necromancer though that you should cut the highs a bit. Other than that, your Line 6 tone is fucking ace dude, how do you do that?

I find it kinda funny cause everybody says that the interlude was awesome and that I nailed it but I think that the second solo is much more complicate but noone cares... the interlude is very difficult and tricky but it's always the same
