Guitar Player's Thread

i'm totally gassing for one of those babies

Yeah I'm really satisfied with it. It's not the most versatile amp in the world but It really excels at the high-gain tight stuff. I am really liking the typical "Engl" low mid bark that this thing has.

On the other hand, I played my first Laney amp yesterday, there was a used GH100 at guitar center. It sounded SO GOOD. It was like Instant paul gilbert tone haha. It definitely blows away any Marshall type deal that I have heard before. The distortion was so nice and spongey, super responsive! If I had an extra 500 bucks laying around I would definitely have bought it!

Hey just wanted to throw out this offer to the guys on the forum before I throw these up on Ebay

I'm Selling my MM-04 Booster and my J-50BC as a package deal.

MM-04 is in mint condition besides being all soldered up, and I have the original packaging it came in.
J-50BC is kind of beat up, pole pieces are a bit rusted, and the model# sticker flaked off (you just have to trust me that it's a J-50BC )
The pickup functions perfectly and sound as it should. I also have the original Black Charvel pickup cover and pickup ring that came with it

Special forum deal $120 plus shipping

This is a great deal because the MM-04 costs $150 new and the J-50BC goes from 30-45 bucks on ebay!

Let me know if you guys are interested

lol you guys.

I want to get an Agile les paul.
I've always wanted a les paul but hated gibson's rediculous pricing

I've been looking at the Agile's for a while and I think im going to get one as a christmas present to myself
Mahogony Body/maple top (flamed top models are real flamed tops) + ebony fretboard + jumbo frets + abalone inlays + pretty decent tuners for $400 = win

Trying to decide on the finish I want
What do you think?

I'm liking the spalted wine red the best but thats of today, Im sure I will change my mind tomorrow

I too used to dislike les pauls (strange since last minute I seem to like them :D) but you're just saying that because you-know-who uses these *electronics*
so get the fuck out of the guitar section.

I still can't stand LP's after all these years :/ Strats and Tele's and Jaguars and SG's and all those vintage shapes and sounds grew on me(Yeah i started lulzmetal with bc rich, ghey i know), but still cant stand LP's

That's fine, to each his own.

I've had this Ibanez IC-400 iceman since I was 16 and it's still one of my most favorites to play today. Its really similar to a lespaul, same scale, 22 frets same style of bridge

The smaller scale is fun to play on too haha
