No, I wouldn't say I'm a fan per se. But as I'm sure you know, that guy was in EVERY porno. I saw him on Real Sex on HBO and thought he seemed really normal. Finally, I can tell me story.
Me and a couple of friends went to Tallahasse Florida to the Brass Mug to see Opeth/Nevermore show. We got to the club early in evening...way before the show. Well, I was surprised at how small the club was.. damn, I thought, this is Opeth what are they doing at this little shitty club? They are the best band in the world! Anyway, Opeth was sitting near the stage, having a beer
and we walked up and said hey and got autographs and stuff - My Autographed Still Life
Later, still before the show, Mikeal and Peter were sitting in lawn chairs outside. Well my freind desided to harass them some more and I thought it was a good idea. Well we talked for about 30 minutes with Mikeal. He was really cool and laid back. He said how 'In Flames would sell 10 albums in Europe and they'd sell 1, and in America they'd sell like 50 for every one In flames sold'. He also said in his distinctly swedish accent' We like to get high before we play',which was quite funny. He also said something about being ready to be back home. as the American tour was very nearly over and Florida was quite hot. My friend requested for them to play advent...which he mistakenly called advert... and he said they'd see what they could do... (turns out Advent was a part of the set anyway) ... but when they did play it as the opening riff..he said " this is for those dudes outside" and then kicked in with the song.
Opeth didn't get to play till late, after many crap bands. The set was short...one song per album. It kicked ass. But was over to soon. I was feeling to hungover to stick around for Nevermore and could not breath in the completly unventalated room. So we went outside.
Outside Opeths/Nevermore tour bus a small crowd had gather and the smell of cannibis filled the air. I couldn't resist and went over. There, I got high with Peter and one of the Martins (bass player) outside the bus. Mikeal was in the bus though and I didn't see him again. Afterwords I drunkenly walked back to the hotel with Opeth still ringing in my ears.

Hey...HAIL ERIS........Cool story....since you started the weed thing...now i can say i smoked weed backstage with Martin (drummer) in atlanta..it was cool, i ate some of their pizza and just sat around. I actually may have already said this. ..oh well..thanks for the story.
