sound quality isnt too great, but you get the general idea.

we mix doom/death/thrash.

imagine My Dying Bride, Solitude Aeturnus, Death, Morbid Angel, and Dark Angel having group sex. we are the crazy multi-gene baby that came out.

Alright, you said pick your band apart so here I go!

Bass - I really like the how he locks in with the guitar on some of the mid-neck parts, but could stand a little more variety during "regular" riffing. Good tone and presence though, which accounts for at least 50% of his job for this type of music.

Drums - Could be the muddy recording drowning any kick drum I'm missing, but they seem a bit plain to me. Could stand some better fills, or just more of them really. Not bad, just nothing special.

Guitar - Dig the riffs, I'm hearing a lot of Death in there, which is a good thing. Can't say I hear any bit of Morbid Angel though, maybe that's just me.

Vocals - Simple and effective with some really good screams, but I would like to hear some thrash style vocals over some of this stuff.

Also, from your website I see you like the long song structure, and that's all well and good, but a little more variety to the aural assault would greatly benefit such long songs. To these ears. :)

thanks alot for your honest comments. the drums are, in fact, rather plain. that will change soon, because we're kicking him out of the band because hes an asshole :tickled: but, there IS kick drum in there. the recording didnt pick it up

as for the long songs, we're still finding our ground with what we can do. been together less than a year, and we're between the ages of 16 - 18. we have some work to do. i know the direction we should go, just gotta get Ian (drummer) to do some new stuff to pull it off

again, thanks!
