Homeland

i don't know ... there is still a terror plot for sure ... that meeting with Brody / Nazir I don't think was told by Brody as it went down.
Nazir got caught too easy ...

just have a feeling things are going to get super cheesy.

I'm not sure what those basics would be. The show was about a CIA agent chasing a suspected terrorist, and keeping the audience in suspense as to where his true allegiances lie. That CIA agent is no longer a CIA agent, the terrorist is no longer a terrorist, and the two of them are in love. I really have no idea where they go from here.

Those few lines succinctly summed up why this show has failed on so many levels. Honestly, only the first half of season 1 is any good. It starts getting pretty damn ridiculous once Carrie and Brody began banging in the cabin, though the intrigue was still there to help you put the pause button on belief. I absolutely loved the first few episodes, even to boldly state that it surpassed Breaking Bad in the dramaaaaz, but 24 Season 8 is what this shitstorm has become. Apparently, the original plan was to have Brody do the suicide bombing in the panic room, but the whole love affair with Carrie was going over well with target audiences, so they put the kibosh on it and shifted gears. Who the fuck are these people that they are surveying?

This show fucking sucks! :tickled:

HBO, Showtime, FX, and AMC have done so well in recent years, specifically because they've ignored the preferences of housewives who believe Oprah is a god. If they truly stymied the creative process, because what their demographic data told them, they deserve to fail.

Original, quality writing + good acting = audience

Saul and Morena's teats are the only thing saving this clusterfuck. I thoroughly enjoyed the season 2 finale, but I'm also extremely pessimistic. In all likelihood, another season of the most asinine love story ever told. Pfft

Well i'm half a dozen eps into the current season, and despite some absolutely cringe worthy Dana segments, it hasnt been that bad. I hear she gets written out further down the line, so everything is coming together to be a delightful drama once again. Put all the focus on Saul, Quinn, and Morena's teats, and the mummer's farce which was Season 2 may be forgiven over time. Just please for the love of Bauer, no moles, or CIA Headquarters infiltration. :erk:
