I bought a new car (the "I wanna be like Gugs" thread)...

Euronigz are all cautious about that shit.

Aurel I'm glad you're American in that regard.

Getting a DUI is a rite of passage here.

That being said I'm a nun myself these days.

But OH MAN some shit from years back? WHOA.

i tell ya it wasn't much fun hanging out with the DD ... they always want to go home 30 minutes after getting somewhere ... so they can also drink.

I wasnt really drunk, ftr. I was however leaving a brewery after maybe having a pint or two (and nachos)

Played a gig 15 miles from home a few years back. Woman was sick so didn't play roadie that night as per usual. Didn't eat much that night, was pkaying i a weirdo improv/jazz/noise band at the time. The kind of band where band members would show up to the gig and it was the first time we had met. So the bar had Yeti and I had never drank such majesty before. Good idea on an empty tank! I was so hammered I left the stage, mid-song, three times, to take a piss. At one point I almost fell, but was able to ankle a piano stool from behind me to collapse upon. Dont even know where :t cane from. We had two bassists so I was covered, but still. Got to my car after the end, in the rain, drummer said "you okay?" and I cackled as I flew out of the lot straight home. Got home, stumbled into bed, kicked my own ass thenext morning for being so dumb.

Heard our recirdings the next day, didn't miss a note. :kickass: But that was my last drunkdrive. Typos cuz of phone not booze WTF

Finally ran the trouble codes on the ol Volvo. Sounds like a bunch of expensive shit.
So much for my free car.
I mean...duh....kinda stupid of me to think I could get away with it

Used this on a headlight today. Check out the difference.

$10 well worth it!

Lot better choices if I were in the US*

MSRP's are often 10K higher here, and for the M3 as a specific example ,they sell it around 12-14K above that already inflated MSRP. So you're looking at 86K before tax. (+13%)

If I were shopping for a Lesux I'd much rather get an Acura or BMW instead. But I find all things Toyota pretty bland, so I am biased against such things. Wow that's a great typo.

Actually any brand that still offers manual trannies is cool with me, I guess that particular Lexus does. Hooray! But not in the F. Boo!

Been raining this week. Definitely miss the WRX in wet weather. It could be pouring and you could drive that car like you stole it. The only difference was slightly longer braking distances, but not even that much. I only ever lost control one time in that car, other than due to my own error (that was more frequent :loco: ).

Still dig the Mazdaspeed but have had it long enough to be casually car shopping. I think my next car will be a V8 muscle thang. Time to embrace my mullet roots.

I honestly don't know how getting a V8 would ever be a bad idea really. Unless you're some sort of homosexual.

Last tank of gas in the 'speed was nearly 15mpg. I'll bet I could enter the single digits in a Challenger SRT8.

My daily commute is less than 6 miles total, if I had a Jetta TDI I'd probably buy gas once a month. Although knowing me I'd probably only get 24mpg in one. :loco:

I'd love to have a diesel, but in the states they don't put them in cars that appeal to me. Oh sure, I'd love a Ram Power Wagon or BMW 335d, but not for $50,000. A friend of mine runs a small biodiesel company, I made that shit one day and it was amazing. I came home absolutely caked in what looked like a Rwake song, yet smelled pleasantly of fried vegetables and a good cheeseburger.
