I bought a new car (the "I wanna be like Gugs" thread)...

URTRAMPNINGSLAGER broken. Die die die.

:( (that's the THROW OUT BEARING in english btw, i know this because i did a lot of googling when the same broke on my vehicle)

speaking of which, nothing's broken on it since the new head gasket, knock on wood

though the power steering has been acting up a bit but i'm going to pretend it's gonna hold together for a bit longer

i kind of want to try to fix some of the rust on it and fix it up generally. most of it, especially the engine, is in good shape now so i don't want it to rust away

i just gotta say THIS has got to be one of my dream cars, i must be fucking stupid or something but man, a puke green 1978 passat would really hit da spot

wait 'till you crash into your significant other's vehicle in your own driveway. You haven't lived until you damage both of your cars at once.

I am lusting over a high performance machine. need a lot of juice and killer handling.

what should I get?

so... as many of you guys know, i work for a farm and a lot of what i do involves the sale aspect of farming. i drive my boss and i around for like 20 hours/week to various markets. we had been using a ram truck with a cap on the back, but we had the thing totally maxed out (to the point of having a shit load of basil between us in the front, in my face, etc). we finally upgraded and now we have a brand new 2011 Mercedes Sprinter Van. Shit is fuckin sweet... such a nice ride. Been cruising around at like 85mph and the thing handles better than my Focus. 6 cylinder 'bluetech' turbo diesel motor. emits only water and nitrogen... 20mpg. hell yeah

Get a luxobarge instead. I had to take a defensive driving course the other day for my speeding ticket and the images of dead people kinda turned me off of fast cars for awhile. I still want a 911 though....I'll just drive it around under the speed limit like most rich people do. :loco:

The new S60 is a really attractive car. That's what you should get, Aurel. Volvo usually has alot of good lease options. I'd get one if I had a job.

I actually tried the S60 some months ago at the dealer. To the shock of the sales chick (who saw me pull up in the MINI) I was not able to fit into this car well at all.
Super tight cockpit and terrible headroom/legroom. Not just for driver, but passengers as well.

The c30 is a bit more roomier due to its coupe config, but not much.

Nothing really fits me well in the Volvo lineup save for their top of the line SUV, which i don't care for.

The C30 is a beautiful vehicle. I really want one. I think it would be annoying to have a coupe/hatch config with two little kids though. My back would not tolerate getting them in and out of their safety seats.
