However, my fear is that, typical to many "single moms," she's way too into being with someone who she hits it off with immediately, and now she's going to want to see me all the time! She's really a very interesting person (in retrospect). Has a cool worldview and being from a totally different culture (born & raised in Seoul, South Korea, moved here in 1989), she has such an interesting way of looking at things. I still don't know how old she is, just that she's older than me and has a 5-year-old daughter named Una. I'm not prepared to be taking care of any rugrat that's not been created by me, and even then, I'm not so sure. I can barely take care of myself!

Do as you wish on this, but I'd never go out with anyone who has kids. I'm not responsible and I think it's a loss when I have to pay attention to kids I didn't contribute DNA for and/or raise. I wouldn't even be too much of a good role model to my any kids, even my own (not that I have any). Also, it's a little iffy if the person failed at one relationship already... where does that leave you. But the whole kids thing is really the killer. Like bleh.

It's a little short-sighted and ignorant to think that anyone with kids who isn't married has already failed at a prior relationship, don't you think?

I've failed at many relationships, and I have no kids. The logic doesn't work.

Well, it's evidence they did fail at a relationship (unless they are widowed). Even more than others and more bad choices, as they have kids with the person who they split up with.
