I hope she actually returns to read this response (and I hope a troll didn't bait me
):
I am the owner of the site, and am a Christian (attend church weekly, play in the contemporary praise band, have a side Christian Rock band). With that said:
You are supporting the devil by listening to this awful music.
Show me in the Bible where God said "heavy metal" is evil - without taking anything out of context. I recall in Psalms he said to play music loudly too!
Gods message is one of love and compassion, not the horrible, disgusting heavy metal.
God also said in Matthew 7:1 (my fav passage): "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." - so I see you are sinning and disobeying God as much as the heavy metal sinners you are judging.
I see on the news heavy metal bands like Slipnot, corn, slayer, and limp biscuit. These Heavy metal bands are filled with hate.
Some of those are Nu-Metal bands - not Heavy Metal, get your facts straight (is it a sin to lump Nu-Metal with Heavy Metal?? I'll have to check that one fellas...). Also, there is a lot of hate and violence spoke about in the Bible as well, should the good book be called evil as well since it contains those stories and historical recollections?
A young girl died at a limp biscuit concert. And now she will rot in hell or purgatory for listening to this horrible music.
I left my last church when the Preacher commented that all the 100 or so folks that perished at the Great White concert in Rhode Island when it burned up were probably sitting in Hell right now. Again, talk about the biggest Matthew 7:1 memory loss moment - you along with my last Preacher have some gall to cast judgment in God's name.
And the limp bicuit goths or emos repay Australia by abusing us on the news.
Oh, you mean like those TV/celebrity/pompous "Christian" preachers who point their holy little fingers at this style of music and other sinners out there, only to be caught themselves of sodomizing young children, bilking money from their congregations, having sexual romper-room with gay escorts and the like? Those in glass houses....or better yet, from Mathew 7:5: "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
I hope all of you heavy metal fans turn away from your passion of metal, you may love it but god and Jesus loves you more, and embrace gods message. He will forgive you because he loves you.
Please, I hope you all turn away from your wrong doings and embrace god with all your heart.
Sincerely Elly.
And I hope you better remove yourself from perpetuating the stereotypical Christian "point the finger at the world" persona and research the Bible more to understand what God truly says in there. It's easy to take things out of context to support any given blabbering comment.
Christians like myself, who love this style of music (listening/collecting for over 20 years now), can't stand when high-horsers like yourself come in and falsely/ignorantly turn people away from what God really says. People can choose what they believe (or not) - but it isn't your job to go around and cause more harm than good (which you do).
Anyways....
