The Wicked One
Still menacing
seeing Warbringer on my birthday.
Any chances of Bonded By Blood being the thrash band if there would be 1?

How do you figure?
Well then...we obviously have a difference of opinion of what emo is. IMO, emo is more about lyrical content, attitude, emotional (hence emo) issues surrounding mostly relationship & inner self turmoil/crap . The music part of emo is more of just a medium for that. Oh yeah, and don't forget the definitely fashion/fad elements that go along with it.
IMO, Fugazi is most definitely NOT emo. To me, they were a punk band of sorts...one can even argue prog punk..if there is such a thing.
So, please share, what is your take on what emo is?
Yup...Power Quest, as we've mentioned before, is a band better suited for a fest like ProgPower....same as Elvenqueen.

spoken by a guy who was never in the punk / hardcore scene. Fugazi were one of the bigger emo bands out there.
wish Elvenqueen were playing....I see we are getting Twelth Waste though.
Say what you will & I certainly don't care what you think of TG, but the style of music is definitely a better fit for the fest than PQ.
So, please share, what is your take on what emo is?
Yeah...I admit it...not a fan of any of it...so I'm certainly not claiming to be an expert. So, what exactly makes Fugazi emo & how would you consider them linked to the emo bands of today? Please enlighten cuz I am curious.
Also, please share your interpretation/definition of what emo is, oh wise one.
Not the "My daddy could outdraw your daddy" argument again.
There are alot better power metal bands.
Not trying to see who would draw more. Power Quest would. I dont get why a fest has to have a certain sound? basically you are limiting yourselves then.
Oh, but if we were to add a particular metalcore band which could realitically draw 10X more than TG & PQ combined, you're telling me you wouldn't complain then? Bullshit!
Bottom line is that neither TG nor PQ really has enough drawing power to draw any significant numbers beyond who's already coming because of IE and/or Testament. Therefore, unless PQ was willing to come over to play for free without any expenses paid, it would not be a good investment on our part...plain and simple. TG, on the other hand, is technically playing for free & has a sufficient following whether you want to believe it or not.
And it's not so much that we're going for a "certain sound", but if we really don't like a band, why would we invite them. We're not politicians...we don't just do things to make others happy. Remember, this is OUR fest...and we put together lineups of bands WE like...but also think many others will like too. And to exclude a VERY small number of fans because we don't pick one band over another when there's a financial risk involved is just simply a no brainer. If you don't see the logic in that, then...oh well.
Damn it!! Why do I always feel like I have to explain myself to you...when you make such comments that make it sound like you have no clue.

Don't worry Rob.....all this bitchin and moaning that's done on this forum is all wasted.....we all know that the people who do the most complaining are gonna show up to Powerfest anyway. Just ignore them.....and enjoy the success you guys are gonna have with this fest.
And if they don't come....their loss.....our gain
