The Sykes Picot agreement (which predates the establishment of Israel by ~30 years) didn't help the situation in the 20th century and on into the 21st, but you're acting like the Arabs were fine prior. One of the reasons that the Ottoman Empire was on the losing end of WWI was because of the revolt in its Arab holdings.

Modern Middle East reasons for hating the West isnt too hard to find, but Islam has not historically been peaceful, and they don't have to do much digging in their holy book to justify said war. For what it's worth, I don't think the Arab world is entirely crap because of the West either. Even during the Arabic "golden age", most of the significant scientists of the period came from conquered Persia. I fully acknowledge that some Muslim countries are garbage due to their own culture/ethnicity beyond Islam, but again, same goes for any religion.
