oh my fucking god, i cant find the words to describe the emotions i get from watching this

can someone tell the drummer to stop spinning his sticks and fucking start PLAYING IN RYTHM INSTEAD

hahahahaha, yep with you on this one, or even hit the drums a bit louder, i think my year old sister will hit them harder:headbang:

It's like they all lack... souls. Do they have souls?

Hahahaha
Spot on

I'm hearing so much of myself in this guys vocals it's scary.
Sounds exactly like me 2 years ago. Only I was more brutal than that guy.

Thank God I don't suck now.

Note to self:

Find an engineer professional enough to not make fun of you behind your back. I'm not in the its OK to make fun of clients if they suck camp.

Or just try not to suck this hard when you go into the studio and you won't have to worry :D

If a band isn't good enough, just don't accept the job. If you accept the job and you get payed for it, you should be professional about it.

I'm not asking anyone to agree with me, but when I saw the short discussion on page 2 about this I couldn't help but insert my 2c.

Oh well, I hear ya! I would say that it is quite normal to be in such a situation from time to time. And it really helps to share it with a friend or discuss the situation with others.

But my personal point of view:

If you decide to record/produce a band for money - then it is your job to give all you have to create a as-good-as-possible result. Of course it is up to you to be honest with them telling them that "they are not the tightest musicians on earth" and stuff. But I from my experience it is possible to find some fun and pleasure in every band/seesion. Sometimes it is because one of them cooks a great lunch every day, sometimes one of the band is way better then expected, sometimes, it is just because they are so happy about your effort you put in, sometimes it is just because you are happy to turn something bad in to something "quite good".

And I do not know if it is that cool to talk about "how bad a band is" in the internet.

Just my thoughts.

Just read that post after only reading page 1 and 2. Could not agree more.

I admit this thread and the band is hilarious but I can understand the sentiment against these kind of topics. All it takes is one asshole to forward one of these threads to the poor bastards in question and you'll have a whole heap of dirt in your hands.

Bless you for posting this though, I was in need of a laugh.

wow I just came into this thread. FUNNY SHIT

i think the whole talking shit on the band issue is a "use at your own risk situation". People are gonna talk shit no matter what you say...but when that unfortunate day comes where the band hears this shit, they better protect their nuts

@ audiogeekzine - how are you recording multiple takes in PT? multiple tracks of the same inst?

Yea, I would never ever share such details in the www, including all the badmouthing etc. It is cool to share an anecdote but I would do this without telling names and links.

They can even step over the shit by themselves - doing some google research about their bandname or stuff and there it is.

I dont think its so bad, every once and a while you need to let out steam. And if you cant talk about it here then where can you talk about it. I dunno about you guys but there aint many other audio guys in my area...
