I'm so broke from ProgPower USA....

well I've got to eat right now are peanut butter sammiches and water to chase it with

I still have my PPVIII DVD/CD preorder money! I'm thinking to put that cash to use by traveling 4 hrs to see After Forever in NH the night before Nightwish in Worcester.

Do what my significant and I do. She and I put $100 a piece, each month in a savings account then use that money to pay for our hotel, food, gas. That ends up leaving us $700 each to blow on merchandise and whatnot. Nothing get's charged to plastic. I came home with 7 dvd's and 40 cd's. She came home with 2 dvd's and 42 cd's. The only shirts we bought this year were the PP8 tee's. We have more than enough tee's from past shows :goggly:

Now to keep on topic.

I'm so broke, the moths in my wallet have given a weeks notice that they're moving. :hypno:

Fill em in, guys!

I'm so broke from ProgPower USA.... for lunch today I had to hit the Wendy's dollar menu, and could only pay with dimes!

True story!

Food. I miss having food at the house.

When I got home, I discovered that someone had left the fridge door slightly ajar when we all left my house on Thursday morning (it could have been me, or any of the 4 other people who crashed here)......so yeah, now I have to go out and replace alllll the stuff that went Bad. Joy! More money to spend!

Oh, that is a capital 'B' in Bad. (Like in Ghostbusters.) How bad was it, you ask? The half-gallon milk bottle was bulging from internal pressure. I was just waiting for it to blow up. Yipes!

Luckily it didn't -- I was handling it ultra-carefully, like a bomb disposal team. I didn't have to call FEMA or the EPA after all; that would have been a toxic spill of gargantuan proportions.

ProgPower did not break me this year? Howz that you ask? Well, I went thru all the cash I brought, and more - but I was unable to access my recently deposited paycheck because an ATM in Atlanta ate my freaking debit card. I was able to get online and use some money from debit card account to make a payment on regular plastic to be able to use that to check out of hotel etc - but I actually made it back to Colorado with more $ than I was actually expecting (in part because no FK merch available).

Also - had my heart set on finding the new Saxon, THin Lizzy dvds and maybe an advanced copy of Lizzy Borden new album - but since no one had it I was able to resist temptation in the vendor room. Someone had a copy of the Dr Butcher cd for $10 - if I can remember where I saw that, I will be ordering via website. Not staying in walking distance this year had a definite impact on my buying - also a few small glitches at getting the GBs in early etc - no biggie - as I don't have time to actually listen to any of the cds until I get home from PP. Too much other stuff to do.

Note to self - find a new creative way to deny myself access to my own money net year - and I will not be broke again :)

Were you the couple in the front of the line on Friday?

Yep, that would have been the two of us. She hung outside in line while I went to the Johnny Mac and Mattias clinics then I joined her when they were over. We always have a blast when we go and we've gone the last 5 years and don't plan on stopping. Now to just get a pair of gold badges and we'd be real happy.:notworthy

Yup. I spoke to both of you (I was the kid behind you guys). Very nice people. nice to have met you.

True story!

Nugs, I so wanted to meet you at Prog Power this year! We would have had a blast chatting it up or rocking out to a few of the bands.

I know most of you whorebots in person, but Bryan 316 is yet to be one of them.

I'm so broke from going to Hawaii in July I didn't get to attend ProgPowerUSA this year :<

You have your priorities wrong.

...When Yardleybates asked me how much money I had left of the $400 cash I took, so she could order pizza (since we don't have anything in the house), I confidently responded, "None." This is on top of the $800 for the hotel that went on my credit card. Between the two of us we bought 1 PP t-shirt and 6 cds. The rest went to alcohol, food, cab fare, and $54 for the two of us to get into the Georgia Aquarium (ouch!).
