I'm using an EMG81 impulse, what do you think?

In order for this to work, it would have to compensate for the wood in your guitar, the type of nut you have, the material, width and density of your frets and your fingers.. so yeah, have fun imagining things.

I posted that thread. The thing here is that I don't say it sounds like an EMG81. And is obviously that in each guitar, with different pickups, wood, etc...it will sound different. I say that I like the character that it gives to my sound and that I'm using it since a few years ago. Just it. I post it to share it to all of you at the forum, to share your thoughts about it too.

Just is no good to hear silly words with something that I share for all of you although is not the key to a real EMG81!
I'm just saying it adds some nice tone and I use it always.

Some guys here still didn't learn the word "humility" and attack with silly words.

Maybe the next time I will think the things twice before sharing something I do for someone that can appreciate it.

Guys, no need to be ironic, I didn't invent anything. A long time ago a guy intended to creat an emg81 pickup impulse. I tried it and I liked it. Just it.

Impulse can work as EQ, even high pass filter or low shelf can mimic behaviour of EMG.
I even tried rewiring tone pot in my caparison to high pass filter, with some setting I can achieve sound similar to EMG 81X (on the same guitar), to better mimic EMG`s there is should be some additional clipper

ps. Checked mentioned impulse - it`s just EQ curve, some combination of low shelf with high boost. GClip can add some more "juice".
