Thanks for your input Profanity, it does not go unappreciated. But if you'll notice the pretext to my list, I essentially said I'd list the well known Norwegian 2nd wave bands in order or preference, and nothing else.

I think Immortal are AMONG the greatest Black Metal bands ever. Together with Mayhem, Satyricon, Darkthrone, Emperor and Burzum.

Immortal is a really great band but i still think for example Burzum and Darkthrone are better (imo).
