well... i could have recommended some Stockhausen or Penderecki or some shit like but honestly Beethoven no matter how 'popular' he is simply way better. Besides I only listed that piece as an example... I could have listed some slightly less popular works like the Grosse Fugue or the Archduke Trio, etc.

I like his 5th symphony more than his 9th. Another piece I like is Fur Elise, which is just genius in its simplicity, and so emotional.
