I assume you got your info from this interview: Agalloch interview (found this on the end records boards). And if you didn't its a good read anyways.

About touring - do underground bands (ie agalloch) without much of a following make much money touring anyways? Usually these kind of bands will attach onto a slightly more popular group and tour with them, but Agalloch is so different its hard to imagine them playing with most other bands, especially since Agalloch is generally considered part of the metal scene. My theory is that Agalloch would only tour alone or as headliners and can't afford to do it like that.
