EDIT: Vote "yes" if it is your favorite song, whether or not you consider it the objective "best".

Just yes, or no. I was annoyed at first with Ozzloaf's song survivor process but got more and more immersed in it as time passed. Now we have a winner. Now, BWP doesn't need to be the best Opeth song to have won the survivor rounds (it just had to outlast the others), but I wanted to see what kind of margin of error there would be.

You just started one!!!!!!!!! JK I'll vote no, even though I voted for Blackwater Park in the final poll, other people may do the same, so this poll isn't very accurate either.

I think it's the most likable song- but not necessarily the best. Personally it is my favorite, but all that poll told us that people don't dislike it. It has a general appeal.

Wreath on the other hand is a song that everyone seems to either love or hate because it is so different and includes some very atonal/abrasive parts. More people might think Wreath to be their absolute favorite song but it's a "riskier" song. Blackwater Park isn't risky.

even if there's one YES for every 8 NO's or so the song deserves its title <3

No I don't think it's their "best" song but it's definitely my favorite. Either that or The Moor. I also love The Drapery Falls, Bleak, Serenity Painted Death (pinch harmonic riff = my favorite Opeth riff ever), Deliverance, Windowpane, and Ghost of Perdition. IMO one of those songs is their best song.

IMO best Opeth songs are When and Advent.

But I am very happy with the claim that Blackwater Park is the greatest. It's out of this world.

You do realize it was a "surviver" poll? Which just means it the song most of us could agree upon given the circumstances.

BlueSky: I think it would be ridiculous to go through the whole song survivor process without looking at WHY BWP won. Right now it looks like most people don't think it's their best/favorite, but most can agree that it is one of the most liked. That's why it held its own and won against other tracks which are more hotly debated.

I doesn't take that much to say no. Actually, one of Opeth's best sides is the fact that you can say no to a large number of songs. They haven't written just a single master piece.
