Jobs

I am a mechanical designer. Basically a drafter by education (2x 2 year degrees: One in Mechanical drafting and one in electro-mechanical drafting) but between a drafter and a mechanical engineer by experience. I use AutoCAD and Pro/Engineer software.

Anyone in here a fan of the show Deadliest Catch? If so, would you give that shit a shot? Personally, I hate being cold and I especially hate being wet and cold. Therefore, there was no way my ass is going up to the Bering Strait for a quick payday.

I watch it from time to time. It definitely seems like an interesting life, but I'd probably last eight seconds doing that shit. I'd annoy someone and they'd toss me overboard, probably.

Catching crab in horrible conditions sounds interesting, but I don't think I would watch it.

I think the drama comes from the several boats all competing with each other, as the crews get paid depending on how much they catch... That and the fact that the Bering sea is really fucking nasty.

i have a lan house, so, i'm my boss.

lan house:

A LAN house is primarily geared toward gamers who need broadband connections and usually has a dark environment (blackened windows etc) supposed to enhance the video effects of games, where as an internet café is brighter and usually has a good printer, recordable CDs and other useful items for non-gamers.

I work at a gas station right now to cover expenses while at school and it's a legendary job. Cable and wireless internet for 7 hours just doing nothing is quite cool. However, since school ends this May I will be leaving in hopes of getting into the film industry.

Currently I go to University of Toronto and all my costs are paid for by my parents. Over last summer and coming up this summer I work for Harvard University Press where my Dad works. It may sound like nepotism, but I am more than qualified for my jobs there (last year I mostly did scanning and basic html coding), and having me means they have someone they can trust. It's a good job and has allowed me to support my hobbies and go to restaurants and stuff.

Currently unemployed as I am a FT student.

However this upcoming summer I will most likely have a job as a day camp counselor (pays like shit but the hours and actual job itself seems way better than most factory BS) for the months of July-August. Unfortunately this means I will probably end up back at my old job as a janitor at Toyota for a month or so before I start the camp job.

I have another interview coming up to be a Writing Centre tutor for next year at my university. Could be a decent gig that would look good on my resume, so I am hoping I land it.

I went to school for graphic design, worked in a live flower shipping warehouse, a movie theater, and I pumped concrete. I worked at subway and cvs (in high school).

But I'm really a stripper. It's my favorite job ever. I get to listen and dance to whatever music I want, make my own schedule, drink on the job, and I make butt loads of money.
