Just ordered my first Katatonia cd

I don't know... Discouraged Ones is good, definitely, and has its great moments, but there's just something that doesn't sit right with me....

Brave Murder Day is a work of genius. 'Brave' would have to be one of the most spine tingling tracks I've ever heard.

But Last Fair Deal Gone Down, to me, pales the rest by comparison. The lyrics, the sound, everything really sits perfectly with me. That's probably why it's my favourite album at the moment, and has been since about 3 weeks after its release.

I should add that 'I Break' and 'Deadhouse' are two of my favourite Katatonia tracks... so figure that one out!

I have figured it out, and quite clearly you are mental :p

But you have good taste for a mental person, those two songs are among my favourites too :D

 the only mental thing going on here is your refusal to acknowledge 'A Fine Day to Exit' as one of the great albums of our era....

Must be the New Zealand climate... ;)

hmn, keep listening and im sure it will grow further and consume you. hmn, and as for liking 'I break' and 'deadhouse', and not really the rest, heres your answer:

deadhouse is like Day, which is from BMD, which you claim to like, therefore with 'i break' also similar in a way you like these songs because of that maybe? i dunno, you should like the whole thing, its too good not to love.

[the countdown begins 11 days to go (till MDB of course!!!)]

Brave Murder Day, For Funerals to Come and Sounds of Decay are definately among the best cd's I own. The three newest albums have just a few songs that compete with any one song on those. Jhva Elohim Meth is also a killer, but unfortunately I only own it as a CDR.
