Current Katatonia is horrible imo. Way too whiney and tremendously tedious. Jonas' vocals annoy the fuck out of me.

I like the artwork a lot. Pretty much encapsulates the emotions they draw on. Anyway, I love everything Katatonia releases, but the albums that have the most staying power are definitely BMD and DO. Those are the ones I reach for most often.

I think Katatonia is one of the best bands around right now. They're one of the very few bands that has never released anything less than amazing, IMO.

it really does sound a lot more mature and involved than Viva Emptiness. similar idea, just done a lot better i think.

i think this is better than anything off of Viva Emptiness except maybe Omerta and Inside the City of Glass.

So how is it? "My Twin" sounds better than the majority of Viva, and I didn't mind Viva at all.

Well, I'll settle for that. Viva has a few crucial and lacks the warmth of LFDGD, which is a quality I kinda like. They do sound much more professional this time 'round, which I think is more important for a sound like theirs than it is for most metal bands.

Now, kindly Yousendit the whole album to me by the time I'm home from work and I'll make sweet, sweet love to you or almost any desired surrogate. for a very long time.

I feel that way about VE, strangely - although it's not so much the fault of the songs on VE as the horribly distracting guitar tone.
