The board, stones, bowls, and packing together weighed 23.8lbs according to FedEx. I only have a bathroom scale, which doesn't believe in weights under 25 lbs (for good reason, I suppose). So I had to weigh myself, then weigh myself holding the following and subtract the former:
Stones, white & black yunzi in their straw baskets: 2.5lbs, estimating 1 to 1.2 lbs for white and 1.3 to 1.5lbs for black.
Bamboo board, 2 & 1/4" thickness, 19x19 and 13x13 reverse: 5lb roughly, according to the bathroom scale that rounds to .5lbs. I did several samples of each measurement and this was the most consistent.
Detail of the lines and board tone.
Top view of 13x13 side. Bamboo's grain is visible at the joints. I find this pattern pleasant, others might want something more uniform. The strips themselves are fairly similarly toned and the surface is smoothly finished.
Stones/baskets on the board. I really like these baskets.
Stones on the board, detail of translucent yunzi black stone.
Yunzi stones are made out of agate and amber, and several other materials that are not disclosed by the company that makes them. They are only made by the single company at Yuunan mountain, and they are made by crushing, melting, and pouring the stone much like glass. The lines on the board are drawn by hand using the dull blade of a sword as a straightedge dipped in ink.
