Maiden's Australian tour set to be announced

I've never been to a festival either. Would I be better off just showing up shortly before Maiden so that I don't have to sit through a bunch of emo bands (and Slayer) all day, or will it be impossible to get a good spot?

"quite possibly" to both questions.

on the other hand though because there'll be like 6 stages you can just wander around and check out the different bands, go on rides, get some food etc etc so it's not like a regular gig where you're locked in a hall forced to sit through the bands you don't like. Know what I mean?

Yep. I don't know about the other cities but in Brisbane it's quite close to the CBD so at least I can hang out in town beforehand, or go to the hospital across the road and visit the sick kids.

GRRRR! They had better add a Brisbane show on there or I'm gonna cut someone.

Headliners generally get a full set. Metallica did at the BDO in '04, and FNM did last year at Soundwave.

Is Hisense, Rod Laver?
