I'm on their website now and while it's fucking expensive as fuck ($2,055 for all 4 nights), the location is worth it. The price does seem extremely high this year though. If you can find a place that is decently close to the venue for much cheaper, I'd be cool with that, but we all need to discuss what our preferences actually are.

That has to be some kind of error. When I booked a couple of years ago it was at least $800-900 cheaper, and it just seems strange that they would jack their prices up THAT much from any other date. If so, fuck that hotel; try Holiday Inn Express (almost certainly booked full, but it's worth a shot), Radisson, or the Sheraton.

I tried on their website and it gave me errors saying they couldnt process my request, and I took that as there wasnt any rooms. Heres the error code, just tried again:

We're sorry, but we can't find rooms that match all of your search criteria. Please try your search again. Please try changing the requested dates.

I thought it was maybe because earlier I might have typed in 2012 and not 2013, but this time my dates were for sure right...

Im down to look at other hotels, but want to make sure everyone who wants to pitch in for the room is down for that too...Im ALWAYS down to go the cheaper route, I mean fuck, we hardly spend anytime there anyways and the time spent is either sleeping or incredible smashed to the point where I could give two shits about the room (so long as its close to the Sonar).

Instead of entering the dates in use the calendar and click them, but I found rooms available at both the Holiday Inn Express and the Radisson still. Not suites or anything, so they will be cramped, but considerably cheaper.

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure that Holiday Inn is closer (assuming it's the one across the street from Sonar) and the unspoken party central of the fest.

For the Holiday Inn Express, they have Standard Rooms, but they are a special "Priority Club Rewards" member room, but it says it's free to sign up. Definitely worth checking out. $200 a night is a lot fucking cheaper than $450 a night.

There is also a Sleep Inn next door to the Holiday Inn that is pretty cheap and has rooms available. Even "suites" but they don't really look worth it.

Edit-->Also, Kris/Mutantllama volunteered to order the other hotel room. If we can snag up two rooms at the Holiday Inn Express (or Sleep Inn right next door) that would be fucking ideal. Fuck the Tremont's bullshit rates.

If that fails, the Radisson does offer that $120 a night deal for MDFers, but I doubt any rooms are still available for that. Worth looking into.

I messaged my friend Collin and while he doesn't have a ticket yet he says that he's dead set on coming. He said if he doesn't snag a 4 day ticket or Thursday pass, he's just going to get a 3 Day pass and say fuck it. So you can include him in.

Also, PM Mutantllama on ordering the other room. Sure it will bring the rates up a bit, but it's still super fucking nice having two rooms, one for partying and one for sleeping.
