Haha, but your friend with the Roadster has.Yeah dude, to say the least, the presence was at 9:00 and treble at 11:30 for this! (the former because the manual says it's really aggressive, the latter because that's what I'm used to on my 2 ch) But I've never been on the ESP forum...
The Roadster sounds a little fatter, looser and overall flatter. Sounds like you left the TS off on the Roadster. Roadster has more Mids and doesnt' have the cutting edge the Recto does. Keep what you have got. That fizz you talk about isn't really a problem in a mix.

Thanks for posting the clips.
+1.
I laugh whenever I hear that the Roadster is tighter. Maybe people think that because of the faceplate?
I agree whole heartedly Marcus. I dont mind the 2 channel, and I dont mind the Roadster, and if its the best vs the first time, I will bet the Roadster will come out on top in the end. If I do buy a MESA, (hands shaking at the moment) it will probably be the ROADSTER. Although at 5895.00 AUS, I think I will dust off my balaclava and jimmy bar, put on my Kevin Rudd mask, and head down to the local bank, should only take a minute or two, then .......................
I'm sure the Roadster has room for more sound tweaking, but just judging from the clips...I gotta choose the Dual Rec.
Ok this is my dual recto reamp: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1436721/Test_Holy.mp3
I still think the Roadster with a touch more high end dial'd in would be perfect, the original 2 ch clip sounds a bit thin in comparison...
