probably the best lyrics i can think of any metal band having is Borknagar. and only sometimes and they use the same images too often. Maudlin Of The Well tried too hard and kinda missed the point in the emo parts but still was pretty decent. i literally can't think of another band... later Emperor had some "OMFG!" moments and about twice as many "WTF?" ones.


give me examples of lyrics from metal bands who care as much about lyrics as anything else. no lame rhyming viking battle hymns or anything. topical stuff or emotional stuff or existential stuff. good lyrics.

okay, honestly why do you care? Sure the lyrics may suck, but seriously metal is about more then shitty bland lyrics, its about passion, its the feeling when you pick up your guitar and lisiten to yourself play. Like I always say, "Lyrics are just ways to give the artists opinion to the narrow minded."
