we just need a mod to move threads to the right places and stop the four horseman of the internet apocalypse (goatse, tubgirl, lemonparty, eels).

Self moderation on other stuff is more fun!

Although I am definitely on well over 20+ hours and at all hours of the night over the weekend, I would turn down the opportunity to be a mod. Fough tat shyte.

Good luck to anyone that gets to be a new mod.

But I will also say that I don't see a problem warranting the need for more mods.

Same here - I've seen people saying things about me (for and against, as anyone would expect) but I just wouldn't take the position. I don't want my opinions given any more weight, my preferences any more representation, or my ideas any more consideration just because I happen to have moderation powers, and considering how rarely people argue anything with me *now* I don't see the situation getting any better if that were to happen.

We've done very well to find the moderators we have - adding anyone else is just too risky because we're already an outlier as far as 'percentage of mods who aren't asshats' and unnecessary because of the number of people already lost.

If I had to pick someone, I'd go for Murphy (if he were still around) or 006. In the absence of a real 'none of the above' option, though, I'm just not voting. I think this is a rather silly thing to do, in any case - there's no way of ensuring that the people voting here aren't the ones who brought about the issues leading to this vote, and the 'good old days' that some want to bring back weren't heavily moderated (or in need of heavy moderation, *hint hint*) - and if you want the forum to be a better place then you should just contribute more. Do a technical writeup or FAQ, submit a mix for rating that isn't like every other damned mix up for rating (and rate the unusual ones, while you're at it), and for fuck's sake don't spend 99% of your forum time in threads about boobs or movies. It takes a lot more than voting to make something work right and be worth the time (sorry, idealists) so get cracking on something that isn't going to be a popularity contest or an eventual flamewar.

Who is this, and why is he adopting my most holy name despite a total lack of beard and clearly inferior hair?
