I don't think one poster here HASN'T been an ass at one point. I'm just mostly content with picking on Blue_Jay and Dave :D

I don't think one poster here HASN'T been an ass at one point...

You know, I was thinking about this, and you're almost right. I, for one, can't seem to recall an instance where Zephyrus acted like an asshole. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but other than the occasional "IBL" type post, I can't seem to recall him ever being obnoxious.

I'm usually an ass here because people tend to piss me off (mainly ohiogrinder/dave. I'm much less of one on the symx forum.

Sometimes he comes off as an ass without meaning to.

Being an asshole to Jofa doesn't count because he says awful shit on a daily basis.

"Today I was on the bus and some NEGRO almost sneezed all over me honestly I'm no racist but why the FUCK do they let my pals ride the same bus with white folk?"

He reminds me of Ariel from Nip/Tuck in a way.

OH MY GOD I HAVE my pals BLOOD IN MY FAMILY! IF I DON'T BLEACH MY SKIN IT WILL SHOW UP!

I really don't think I'm as much of an asshole and elitist as certain people peg me as, like Unfaithfully_Metalhead and Faith No More. I never explicitly assert that my opinion is right. I just argue strongly for my point of view. I use strong and persuasive language. That's not overtly proclaiming "I am right, and anyone who disagrees is wrong and stupid." The fact that I tend to only address issues about which I know a fair amount also has a lot to do with this. For example, if I were to enter into a debate about the proper care and maintenance of a horse stable, I would look like Blue Jay in a spelling bee. So in order to avoid this, the only times that I assert my viewpoint are either when I feel very strongly about my opinion on something or I know that something else that somebody said is demonstratively incorrect...or I find something to be so astoundingly stupid that I feel it deserves to be addressed.

I say this because it annoys me. I've never looked at myself as even remotely elitist (in the generally accepted sense in terms of this board), and have generally condemned those who have exhibited tendencies of elitism, so when I get the term flung at me, it's a bit startling, because I don't think it accurately depicts me at all, and most likely stems from some misunderstanding. I can definitely be an asshole at times, but it's usually meant in good nature. My main priorities here are to discover new music and to help others do the same.

You're not an elitist. I used to think you were. You might come off as one to n00bs.

Yeah, I thought he was back when me and Freeman talked. When I talked to Nec over AIM a decent bit I couldn't stand him, but now he's cool :)

excellent post man, I definately know and agree with what you are talking about. I think you are easily one of the best posters on here and your sense of humor is always excellent (though a bit overtly subtle to some here).

Anyone who would want to be a moderator is crazy. You get basically nothing positive to compensate for all the crap you deal with.
