most hated band?

pearl jam has allowed people to record and freely trade their shows since day one. there was always a problem with people selling them though. the band decided to put out their own bootlegs so fans could have professional quality recordings of shows for a reasonable price. every 2 cd show sold for several dollars less than most new single discs cost. fan club members could purchase them online for about $11.

the way they sold the shows this last tour was great also. if you purchased the show in advance online you'd get a link to d/l mp3's of the show about 12 hours after it was over. 2 weeks later the full mastered discs showed up in your mailbox.
I love how a socialist like Eddie Vedder can understand and benefit from capitalism. :D

Me too. And then I would go poor.

It's probably a good thing that more bands don't do this, much as I would like them to. I couldn't afford it, although I don't go to nearly as many shows as some of you guys do. That is an advantage to being single and not having kids. Oh well.

Good Charlotte
Trapt
Linkin Park
Simple Plan

Oh my God everytime I see these guys they make me so angry it's like I'm on steroids or somethin! That's how angry they make me...Hey Simple Plan, what's that behind you?! It's your worst nightmare! MR. BIG TIME BEATIN! WHAM BAM THROAT PUNCH DOWN YOU GO! WHEN'S IT EVER GONNA STOP?! SURVEY SAYS, NOT-VERY-SOOOON!!!

Journey....THERE IS NO FUCKING SOUTH DETROIT!!!

...uh, sorry....I really don't get the whole Coldplay thing.

:D

Linkin Park
Staind
and all these bands that sound alike, Nickleback,Trapt,Saliva, Puddle of Mudd, and bands of this nature just so middle of the road and white bread safe. They all suck.

I fell asleep in my chair at a Staind concert. They were so stoned on stage that it was not enjoyable to watch people mope around stage singing their slow and boring songs about love. I also can't stand bands that also puss out on ballads about love. I received that Metallica CD for christmas and I listened to it. I had a hard time following the songs and what they were trying to get across to me. The singing was not singing at all. I now fully understand why Jason left the band. It's to bad the Robert had to subject himself to this record without putting any of his imput on the songs. May;be next time they won't slack on what made their bread and butter and put out some talented music that we can be proud of. Anyway some bands that suck but still play, Disturbed only because their first album was awesome then they got money and turned into posers, Creed:same, Phil Anselmo; tired of his untalented screams and whining about Pantera. DamagePlan sounds like it will kick ass come Feb. 10. Gotta take care of a kid, later.

nirvana, limp biscuit, metallica, coldplay, radiohead, travis, green day (and all the other shitty pop-punk bands), the beatles, rolling stones.

Oh... I kinda like Travis... their videos are great, and the guys in the band are funny, they did this great a capella version of "Thong song" with scottish accent. Fucking hilarius.

But musically their new stuff suck. Boring crap.

Let's see:

1. Justin Timberlake---Man he needs his ass kicked.
2. Any wannabe punk/pop band----this includes Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Sum 41, etc. God I hate that shit. If you want punk, go listen to NoFX, Bad Religion, or Pennywise.
3. No Doubt --- Gwen Stefani's hottness kept me hanging in there, but this latest batch of music is intolerable
4. The entire hip-hop scene---Hip-hop peaked in 1994, it's been a downhill rehasging of the same song ever since.
5. KISS --- I was there for the first reunion show, and it RULED! However, at this point it's time for them to hang it up.
6. Bob Rock --- This guy has produced some of the most amazing albums ever recorded....how in the world could he fuck up the new Metallica cd so bad?

I always liked Black Flag...

oh, and IMHO I believe you are right. Kiss has reached the "call it a career" stage. Wow, what a ride it has been. My first concert was Kiss at Cobo in '76.Uriah Heep opened.
