most solid metal album of 2007 so far?

I've run over the new Manowar with my car repeatedly and it's still in one piece. I'd say that makes it pretty solid.

^^give the full album a try, i can't believe someone would call that shit honestly.
Zephyrus: it's certainly different than what Abigor has done in the past, there is still some guitars and drums that reminds you that they're still Abigor, not a new band... it's very technical and in some place, very weird and quite avantgarde but not in a gay way..... like the new DHG, which i hate.
maybe i'll loose interest in a couple of months, but so far in term of black metal this year..... it's a strong entry.

I listened to the new Abigor album just yesterday. My first impression was that it was pretty awful, but I gave it another chance and it isn't bad actually. I haven't listened to them for a few years, and I was never exactly quite into them but I remember thinking some of their earlier stuff was fairly good.

Their first four albums are great, with Nachthymnen being among my favourites. I haven't bothered with anything past Supreme Immortal Art, and I doubt I ever will.

In terms of black metal, I can agree nothing yet has really caught my interest except for Shining, Lunar Aurora and N.I.L., those are pretty good.

It has taken this long, but I am actually beginning to feel that 'Scarsick' by Pain of Salvation is pretty good. In fact, having gotten over the Rap Vocals that rip-off Eminem's 'The Way I am', Disco Queen and Daniel Gildenlöw's excesses, this album is really unique and weirdly enough, excellent.
2nd best album for me, after Symphony X's 'Paradise Lost'.
