Most universally hated genre of music?

I think Happy Hardcore could be close, but I would say the same things on it's appeal that I did for techno. The biggest clubs in Europe regularly sell out Happy Harcore nights and happy hardcore compilations are huge money makers.

Electronica is very big in Europe clubs, but not in the United States, which is where I live.

I hate house techno, but blip, trance, and some drum & base isn't too bad. Anything without that annoying BOOM-TSST-BOOM-TSST-BOOM-TSST beat that most techno music uses. I like the weird, off the wall beats that Aphex Twin uses, for example.

Do people know any classical fans beside people on the internet? It tough to find someone that likes classical music these days.

Not really... I know people who like certain composers or pieces but people who actually have a substantial knowledge or collection of classical and who really understand it... not really.

Yes, but not many from our generation. I would say people are generally indifferent towards it rather than hate it, I think most people appreciate the complexity and skill involved without necessarily enjoying listening to it.

Pretty much... or they like really popular and overrated works like Moonlight Sonata or Pachelbel's Canon and therefore think they like classical music. Yet if you ask them what are their fav works by say Shoshtakovich, Bruckner, Takemitsu, et al they are like "wha?". This is not a criticism, merely pointing out that it is in fact rare to find people who are actually really into this music.

Disco, and Techno get my vote. I just don't like those. And I won't bother trying to get into them anymore.

I like some of that dance/techno music... it's pretty fun sometimes but I don't really know much about it.
Honestly I can't get into rap/hiphop or punk. The former has some catchy songs but invariably the hooks tend to be samples which pisses me off and the later I find mostly unlistenable.
