Most universally hated genre of music?

Its not strange:

* Its repeatd on the radio
* It has hooks

Whatever you or I think of them thats the main thing. People accept stuff that is constantly heard and that they can sing along to in one way or another (or dance to). Im quite surprised SAOD made it into the relative mainstream since the music is very jumpy, disjointed or spasmodic even though it has its hooks as well.

I believe that shitty/shallow music is what is allowed into mainstream by TPTB to keep people on as shallow a mental state as possible.

Studies have recently been released that music opens new pathways in the brain, so it would follow that more complex music would open more pathways, IE making people more capable of rational thought (at least to a minor degree). This is not what the heads of corporations want (at least). They need mindless consumers, the political parties need mindless voters (Obamites and Palinites), etc.

This is the epitome of Dakrynism:
- Conspiracy theory? Check
- Acronym for ambiguous group? Check
- Oppression from the government? Check

I bet Jage voted for the BNP :p

And Valerie's checklist is pretty accurate! Hilarious is that at one point Dakryn volunteered to die for the government.

Pfft, more like kill ragheads lololololol.

Seriously though, it was what I learned in the Marines/saw in Iraq that influenced my current views. I am not the only one, and it's a reason that DHS listed returning vets as potential "Domestic terrorists", which is pretty stupid. It's not like troops go to Afghanistan and convert to Islam, they see the bullshit first hand and come back and want to take out the politicians causing it.

I was out of the country and didn't vote. I don't really support them, but the closest thing to a party I like would be UKIP.

I believe it 100%. You're a danger because you know the truth.

I'm too clumsy and not bilingual. Plus I don't want to be caught by Russians. I'll do as much spy work as you want in Scandinavia though. ;)

I AGREE WITH YOU.

Come at me, faggots!

I'm sure there isnt many fans of country music here, so I'll post these here for anyone who might want to give the genre a try.

Gothic country (I tend to call it dark country music)
It's really desperate and gloomy (and kinda preachy, but you're gonna go to hell and satan's gonna get you preachy, not praise the lord preachy) ... sometimes laced with profanity (Those Poor Bastards)

v warning: really bizarre video

I absolutely love this shit, and I hope it maybe changes one person on this boards opinion of country music.
