Jet Li's "Fearless"

sadly, his last movie, but imo one of his finest. Amazing stuff.

edit: last martial arts movie I mean, anyway, so he says

This was pretty damned good, I agree. One of his best moments. Maybe he'll reconsider making martial arts films....

Watched "Taking Lives" tonight. Good and interesting movie.

Saw "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" yesterday. Good movie. Better than the first one, I think. I need to rewatch it, because I can't remember much of it. Looking forward to the third one.

^ That sounds good.

Anyone here see ''Malena" with Monica Bellucci?

It's an Italian/Sicilian film about a beautiful woman who is obsessed over by a young boy going through puberty during WWII, and her struggle to survive in the town of Messina. (I think it's Messina..) It's both really funny and quite sad and nostalgic. And Monica Bellucci is fantastic in it, as well as all the other actors, most notably the boy.

Just saw over the hedge. Pretty funny...

Took the other half to see that the other week. It was entertaining enough, and Steve Carell did a great job as the squirrel, but I found the whole thing formulaic and predictable as hell. I know it's a kid's movie really, but seriously, the plot was so predictable I could have walked out of the cinema fifteen minutes into it and told anyone who asked me what was going to happen.

Yeah, very true. But I wasn't expecting anything different, and I really liked their commentaru on surburban life. Most entertaining.

I just watched I, Robot, which I'm still surprised by how much I enjoy, and the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, again what I was expecting but very watchable. Recently got Last HOuse On Dead End Street, Everything Is Illuminated, A Bittersweet Life, Million Dollar Baby, Anatomy Of Hell, Minority Report, Independence Day, The Mothman Prophecies, The Gift and Jeepers Creepers very cheap on DVD, so those are up next!

Excellent movie! I was very upset at a few parts, quite a great mix of tragedy and comedy. Also, the titties.

Raise the Red Lantern
Pretty rad stuff, I think I liked how the film looked the most, although the story and characters were quite good. Apparently I dig that director, I've seen 3 of his flicks now. :goggly:

Easy Rider
I had people telling me I'd run out and get a bike immediately after watching this. Well that's not going to happen, but it did rule an immense amount (the graveyard scene in particular), and I plan on growing out ze beard again.
