ive been thinking today about how maybe it's not as good as Heat. Better in some ways but not as good overall.

nah, never mind. i dont even want to risk it. i was gonna say someting about a gunfight - seeing as how gunfights in this movie isnt much of a surprise - but im just gonna say, be prepared for Heat levels of violence.
In other words, this movie is fucking awesome
 
Saw Clerks II. It was a little weak at times but it had me laughing most of the way though. And some of these laughs were loud enough I thought I might have been disturbing other movie goers (especially the porch monkey and pillowpants scenes).

I've been watching a lot of Friends while I work, but also - Birth Of A Nation (shame the film that gave rise to the birth of narrative cinema is also a piece of racist propaganda!), Evil Dead II, Final Destination II, and a load of Family Guy. Has been good.
 
Evil Dead II!!! Was Final Destination II the one with the mulit-car crash at the beginning? Can't remember if that's II or III. Anyway, I thought the main character's blonde friend was sooo hot. I even looked her up on the imdb. Am I creepy?
 
the green butchers

its a danish film with subtitles, about these two dudes, svend and bjarne, who get tired of working for their assholic boss at a butcher shop, so they decide to open their own shop.

their business isn't going so well, then an accident happens which leads to more "accidents" that aren't really accidents at all. svend accidentally comes into possession of a certain meat, then realizes they need more after everyone goes crazy for their "chickie wickies" ;)

the svend character is awesome, with an almost christopher walken-like intensity hahaha. good stuff.

Dog Soldiers was pretty good, yeah.

so I saw this RUNNING SCARED film you blokes have been raving about, and spot on, chaps, spot on!
 
so tonight ... Miami Vice or Taladega Nights? (Ali G plays a gay F1 driver from France in this one ... reviews have been saying that his faceoffs with Ferrell are gut busting)
 
Watched a really cool movie a few days ago: Zatôichi.
It's the same director as the horridly overrated Battle Royale, only this movie is really good. It's very beautiful and has a very engaging story and awesome gorey sword duels to boot :kickass:
