Naked Lunch

Well that was thoroughly disturbing but nowhere near as much as the book. Then again, NOTHING is as disturbing as that book. O how I love it.

i don't have a region free dvd player, so I cannot watch this ... will have to try and find a used vhs copy somewhere.

Another Tarkovsky fan? Wow! About once a year at 1 or 2 am Turner Classic movies play most of Tarkovsky's movies uncut and in widescreen. Ive taped all of his movies off TCM, as they are impossible to find elsewhere, and like The Criterion tapes and DVD's are supposed to be of poor quality. I first got them at the library- I dont know if swedish or Greek libraries have movies.

Almost every scene of Stalker is still implanted in my brain, like i can feel it.

ELF fucking ruled ... but BAD SANTA was genius.

I saw MARIA FULL OF GRACE ... about this chick that became a Colombian drug mule.
Good fucking movie (but if you don't like slow paced flicks ... stay away)

Bad Santa (I saw Badder Santa) was pure friggin awesomeness to the maximus. I couldn't stop laughing.

I can't wait to see Meet the Fockers, though the previews make it look like they are trying too hard to make it a little slapstick, whereas the original was hilarious in a sorta non-intentional way.

I've read Blade: Trinity sucks nuts.

I've seen so many fucking movies lately...

Elf - fucking ruled, period.
Man on Fire - actually pretty damned good for an '80s action flick made in 2003
Dawn of the Dead (remake) - I actually thought this was brilliantly done, I was very impressed
Ichi the Killer - don't see what all the fuss was about, this pretty much sucked
Kill Bill vol. 2 - disappointing in every way, nowhere near as good as vol. 1, I fell asleep during the 3 1/2 hour dialogue scene between Bill & Uma at the end
Witchboard - '80s b-movie horror rules! especially with Tawny Kitaen
Girl Next Door - pretty damned entertaining, and Elisha Cuthbert makes me feel funny in the pants

Um, I think that's it for now.

I saw the remake of "Dawn Of The Dead". It didnt satisfy my expectations. Poor character developing and it lacked Romero's social comment. It was good fun, but not something special.

That was filmed in a mall 5 minutes from my house. The part where she's walking through a tunnel near the beginning.. is a fucking tunnel where my girlfriend and I always go to get high! Seeing it was kinda creepy 'cause everything looked so familiar.

I saw two movies with some friends last night; "Baise-moi" (Fuck Me), which was a very bizzarre and violent story. IMDB

After that, we proceeded to watch "The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King" (Extended Version) using a mate's home cinema setup, with a HUGE film screen and projector, as well as 5.1 surround sound. Twas killer to say the least, the extended versions always rule more than the cinema versions.

The extended version of RotK is out already? What's been added?

I hope to assume that with an extra hour of footage, they showed Faramir having his way with Eowyn, the Shire in disarray, Wormtongue killing Saruman, and finally bringing out Glorfindel into battle....or maybe not. :loco:

Ali, am I ghey for not loving Ichi the Killer?

Well, they added a scene with Faramir and Éowyn flirting and talking, as well as some more scenes, but 'tis hard to remember what was in the original and what was not, considering I last saw the movie the 17th of December 2003. Wormtongue killing Saruman was also added, but it's not similar to the book at all (not that I've read it yet, but a couple of my mates told me so) - do you want me to tell how it happened? ;)
