Movies

I highly, highly doubt it'd be up your alley. I just can't imagine it would, knowing your tastes. But if you're in no hurry (and my guess is that you're not), I'll just burn all the essentials as MP3s, throw them on 1 or 2 discs total and send them to you.

If you like them, *gasp*, go buy them :)

Chronicles of Riddick
Not as good as I had hoped. Where the hell was the blood? Lots of nice action though. The character of Riddick is so freakin' cool in a Rambo kind of way. Grade: C

Dodgeball
Why did everyone hate this? I thought it was funny as hell. Ben Stiller's character was awesome. Sure, the film was stupid, but it knew it was stupid, and it had me laughing. Grade: B+

Collateral
I liked Michael Mann's Heat, but I don't know about this one. Tom Cruise was cool in it, but I'm not a big Jamie Foxx fan. Also, not enough blood, but I like Mann's directing style, and the nighttime downtown LA shots are beautiful. Jada Pinkett is an annoying actress, but she has nice legs and she showed 'em and I thanked her for it. C+

hahaha ... i thought the opposite .. to me she competes with Marcy Darcy for the chicken legs award ... skinny and crooked.

that movie ruled immensly though.

Saw Chronicles of Riddick as well this week. I also thought it was pretty good for action schlock. The special effects were fucking outstanding, as were the battle/fight scenes.

Haven't seen Collateral yet, but I've heard nothing but outstanding praise of that movie, and J, you're the first person I've heard say that Jamie Foxx didn't steal the movie. I'm told his performance is unreal. I'll get to it sooner or later.

I did, however, watch the immortal Sonny Chiba in The Streetfighter. That movie is BAD ASS MOTHER FUCKERS. Truth.

Office Space

Glad I finally saw this, funny but not brilliant. I remember Milton from back in the SNL cartoon days, "I'm going to set the building on fire" was always funny. I still think Mike Judge's brilliance was all in Beavis and Butthead.

Office Space is cult. But once the trio starts thinking about that scheme to steal the money is when the movie starts getting boring.

Elf
It was OK. Had some funny moments, but overall it was pretty stupid, but think that was the point.

office space needs repeated viewings under the influence of something ... kind of like Orgazmo or Half Baked ... by all means not a masterpiece but it has some great lines.

Yes, many great lines. If I see it for $9 DVD special, I'll get it. Half Baked, oh man I watched that movie so many times. You ever watch Half Baked... ON WEED!?!? Orgazmo I only saw once, man that shit ruled.

"Fuckin' A."
"Fucking . . . A."

The Boondock Saints

I'm sure I've brought this up a million times, but I'm getting ready to toss this on and pass out on my couch with a blankey to it. Everyone needs to see this at least 5 times before they run out their stay on this mortal coil.

never saw this, but it is now on my Netflix queue

It seriously kicks ass, it makes me want to be Catholic. Well, not really. :loco:
