Rashomon is amazing. I've only seen that one, Throne of Blood, Yojimbo, and Dreams. All are astounding, and it is foolish of me to have not seen Seven Samurai yet.

Oldboy rules, I'm a big fan of Chan-wook Park's other moves, but that is probably the best. I like Spike Lee, but remakes can suck it*, so I probably won't bother.

*I've seen The Magnificent Seven but not Seven Samurai lolz

Prisoners is the best movie I've seen in theaters in quite some time. Superb acting from Wolverine and Brokeback, not a dull moment, amazing score, actually compelled me into giving a shit about the two girls snatched. The "twist" was a little mediocre, but is forgivable given how exceptionally well everything else was played out.

Blockbuster L.L.C., will end its retail and by mail DVD distribution operations by early-January 2014. The company will close its approximately 300 remaining U.S.-based retail stores, as well as its distribution centers.

"This is not an easy decision, yet consumer demand is clearly moving to digital distribution of video entertainment," said Joseph P. Clayton, DISH president and chief executive officer. "Despite our closing of the physical distribution elements of the business, we continue to see value in the Blockbuster brand, and we expect to leverage that brand as we continue to expand our digital offerings."

The Blockbuster By Mail service will end mid-December and will serve existing customers until that time.

So I just watched Severed Ways: The Norse Discovery of America.

It had a lot of Burzum, Dimmu Borgir, and a few dead chickens.

Yep. Pretty gross really. But hey, everybody poops. I still can't say if I liked it or not, but I'm glad I watched it, so that's enough I guess.

It was like a handheld camera student film version of Valhalla Rising. Although it was more gristly, less artsy/fartsy than said Rising film.

Yeah.. But Valhalla Rising ruled

Blood Runs Cold. This might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Even the boobs are horrible.
