Movies

HOTEL RAWANDA ... not bad, was expecting a little more after Nad's tearful confession, but the flick felt a little flat.

Definetelly NOT recommended for people participating in the Argholsent threads :loco:

Just saw "I <3 Huckabees". I'm not a movie fan by any length, but that movie was fucking cool. Anyone else seen it, or has it already been discussed?

That's one of my favs in recent times.

I'm about to watch Hero.

Last 2 nights, I've seen Ocean's 12, and Meet The Fockers. Both were dissapointing.

HERO was awesome ... and i am not usually amazed but these type of Asian flicks.
Ocean's 12 was really lame and forgetabble ... Fockers had it's moments, but felt more like a sitcom then a movie.

@Marksveld
Hehe, I thought so too. But now, everytime I look around my living room, I see that horrible girl's face, and it really creeps me out. But yeah, not a very good flick, but it still scared the hell out of me (not that that's very hard).

HERO was fucking awesome. Visually stunning to boot. Imo, better than Crouching Tiger... I'm gonna get House of Flying Daggers tomorrow.

i agree ... liked Hero better than Crouching Tiger as well ... but I had enough, passing on Flying Daggers.

Ugh, that was a weird movie; though it was pretty good, it was so extremly depressing that I can't recall the last time I felt so miserable as after seeing it :erk:

Try Requiem for a Dream if you have not done so yet ... guaranteed misery for days :loco:

Works more effectivelly than an Agalloch listening session :tickled:

Requiem for a Dream and Gummo are both depressing . . . but in different ways. Gummo feels like a documentary of the most fucked up town on the planet, while Requiem has a definite feel of an actual movie. They are both excellent, but Gummo leaves you wondering if the government should bring back that top secret sterilization program that had back in the day.

Haha exactly my thoughts :D

Requiem for a Dream is just sad and moving while Gummo is truly depressing
