NBA Playoffs

I think Boston fans are middle of the road in terms of rudeness. We're all getting spoiled, but the sports media here is trying to help us out and remind us that from basically 1986 until 2000, all our teams were terrible

Nah, all their teams had good runs, but it doesn't bother me for 2 reasons, a I really don't see the fans being retarded about it, and B we got the Stanley cup back in Detroit. For us...that's the big deal. Besides think about how annoying Cleveland fans will become if one of their teams wins a Championship......ever that is....

Nice to hear this from someone from another great sports town.

Yes you have the Redwings (congrats on the Cup) and you have the Pistons...I seriously think if they got past the C's they would have also beaten the Lakers, because of thier own defense, depth and physical play.

Sure Boston fans are being spoiled and we know many fans here and elsewhere don't like us and thats fine. I like to blow my horn like the next guy about my teams but its all in good fun...most of the time. What gets me is some here no matter what success Boston players or teams achieve...the only thing that comes out of thier pieholes is nothing but negative comments or downplay the teams achievements. You wonder why we throw it in your faces?

Criticize or bust chops when its called for, but the childish, ignoramous, jealous-comments should just stop. The Celtics just went from worst to first in less than a year and they did it with heart and determination. Paul Pierce steps up and out-plays two of the NBA's elite players and is finals MVP...all it gets is downplay and comments about his appearance etc.

I can understand the animosity towards the Patriots, but not towards the Celtics or Red Sox. Those teams just show that with the right amount of ownership and good GMing, very good things can happen. We're seeing the birth of the same thing in Tampa with the Rays right now. I really can't see anything about the Celtics or the Red Sox players that would cause animosity towards them. I guess if you resort to insulting a player's facial hair, you really are reaching for criticism.

Agreed.
Though, I can understand animosity to all the teams...thats what winning breeds, animosity and rivalries. The Pats only opened themselves up to more criticism than the others.

btw: Did ya see Pierce and the Celtics throwing out the first pitch at the Sox game...very cool. A Champion on the mound at the other Champions field!

So you root for the Sox, hate the Yanks and the Rangers more than any other teams? The only difference is about the four hours between us.

Seriously, I've been to a few Pats games and I like tailgating as much as anyone. But I enjoy the home or other house party Sundays that is Patriots game day!

Its 169.00 for sideline seats, 89.00 for upper sideline and 69.00 for upper level corner endzone, I really don't know how this compares to other stadiums.

What are the Jets asking for $... and do you go to alot of Jet games?

Wow...I envy you! Thats really cool attending with your Dad, and it sounds like a nice setup you guys have or had. Maybe you should all get together each Sunday at a residence and save some headaches and money?

My Dad passed away awhile ago when I was in early Highschool. He taught me alot about sports, and I ended up being a pretty good athlete thanks to him...but I never ended up attending any pro sports events with him...something I missed and regret.

At work today we were talking about the little Collision between the SS and 3 Baseman when Boston came back to beat Cleveland last year, and how the fans here truely believe everytime their teams go to the playoffs that they are going to win it all. Just odd here in Cleveland how oblivious they are to the other teams talent. Not so much they hate this or that team beyond basic universial hate for the Yankees (LOL). They simply don't care what the other team can do.

So, anyone hear about the new developments with Donaghy? About how the Sacramento Kings should have an NBA championship? I believe this will come out about the Dallas-Miami series as well, as that was the single most blatant and outright case of deplorable officiating I have and ever will see.

so theyre not allowed to review replays, but they can just give scramento or dallas a championship? thats the dumbest thing ever

I'm inclined to believe Donaghy is not telling the truth about the officiating of the Sacramento/LA game. Not to say the officiating was good, just I don't think there is some big conspiracy amongst the NBA and officials

I never said they should give it to them, that's not really possible... I would just like the vindication of being sure I was right about the atrocious officiating.
And something like this in the records...

2002 Champions- Los Angeles Lakers*
2006 Champions- Miami Heat*

Oh, but come on... he's a great teammate (forget all that talking he did about his teammates) AND he does interviews with his kids in his lap... doesn't he deserve it? Rape is such a petty crime. I'm sure lots of people do it.
