Nevermore Cancel ProgPower USA VII Appearance

That said, maybe you should now get on the phone and give an act that would be eternally grateful to you for the chance to play at PPVII. Oops. I almost forgot....I have an appointment for my TAROT reading. So, I need to hop on the train, as I may be THE RIDER OF THE LAST DAY.Afterwards, I will go to the bar to shoot some pinball. It is on the pinball machine where I RULE. Afterwards, one must go to the gym. Why? well, DO YOU WANNA LIVE FOREVER? ANyway, gotta run.

Peace,
Ray C.

My TAROT reading was great, but on the way home there was this fire that looked like a PYRE OF GOD, but anyway when i got home i had to go into the CRAWLSPACE to fine a leak pipe, and with that repaired i thought to my self I RULE, there is no plumber needed. I mean we all have to SUFFER OUR PLEASURES. Well enough said.

As much as this sucks, I hope this doesn't disqualify Nevermore from future progpower years. It's just business, as bad as that sounds.

Wait a second! We already HAVE a band that can headline. The band is EPICA! Is there anything written in stone that they HAVE to play immediate support? Give them the top spot. People will stick around to see Simone Simons. Now, Glenn does that, all he would have to do is find a live act to play in one of the four spots. Makes life much simpler.

Peace,
Ray C.

Great news! (Sorry about the hassle, but they weren't my top choice to headline anyway.....good luck!)

Here are my choices, for what its worth:

Shadow Gallery
Shaaman

I am too a never-more fan :dopey:, so it's not a loss for me, but i understand this hurts the festival. I hope a suitable band will be found, I like the ones mentioned above but I don't know if they can be a headliner capable of drawing people (I'll go of course :D)

One of the best, true prog-power bands IMO is Manigance from France but since they sing in French that may be against the interest of the festival.

Other bands I'll love to see (even if they maybe again not suitable for a headliner are):

Mesmerize
Wolf
Listeria
Highland Glory

As for Helloween I'm going to see them next month so I can skip them at PPVII , so instead let's bring Blind Guardian:hotjump:

P.S. Can we have Motorhead? :worship:

Glenn already said he wasn't going to bump any of the bands higher in the line-up.

Ok, since people are putting their dream lists up for the replacement I'll do the same:

Porcupine Tree
Opeth (they are prolly too big for PP at this point though)
Kings X
Engine
Transatlantic or OSI (or any other form of a Dream Theater side project)
King's X or Transatlantic or OSI would be great!

You know I thought this too - but then Glenn said he wouldnt be bumping anyone. This sux bad for Glenn, and for everyone who was excited about seeing Nevermore (I have been starting to get back into them since the announcement) - but Glenn is apro, and probably well known throughout the industry for running a first class festival - I think we'll get someone kickass coming in. Either way - I'm still there - and since I noticed they weren't included on the pre-party list (unless they are a surprise appearance) I will vote for the Glenn Harveston All Star Tribute to Jimmy Buffet (or Iced Earth, Savatage in any sort, Manowar (quit laughing dangit), DIO!!!,) aw heck - there's so many good bands out there I ahven't seen - it really doesnt matter. Whoever it is, I'll stay, I'll rack out, I'll have fun.

Bring on September,
Jeff

As long as people are throwing up/out pipe-dream headliners, I may as well throw one in as well...

Fates Warning... given the same amount of time to play as Nevermore... but with vocal duties split between Ray Alder and John Arch.

How about Pain of Salvation with the orchestra playing "Be" in its entirety?

Okay, I'm a pretty big PoS fan, but, god no... I wouldn't want to hear much at all of Be live, much less the entire thing. Besides, having the orchestral thing with another band would probably not be workable... I think they have enough of their plate.

Damn, this news is really terrible. I'm sorry for the huge setback Glenn...
alternate headliners that i think would be superb though would be Fates Warning with Ray Alders on the vocals, or the mighty Symphony X. Two of my favorite bands ever.

or the anticipated live show of Shadow Gallery!!!!:headbang: :headbang:

Uh...you can pretty much bet your ass it does. :p

If it were just business to Glenn, there would be no ProgPower US!!!
