Finally, a legible and somewhat understandable site has come from these guys. Program versions are finally sorted in easy to find sections.

As an added bonus they have released Acquavox for free. This is a stand-alone plug-in based on Nebula's engine, sampling the saturation from some mic pre or other. It's very subtle though!

Anyway, if you've wanted to check out Nebula, now is as good a time as any. The OSX versions are up and running, and it's all there, in an easy to find and purchase format.

I don't know why I keep forgetting that I bought N3 pro a while back.
It's always been that "promising/interesting plugin" that I never use.
Good move for the website tho.

You and me both man. Nebula could annihilate and corner the market with cab emulation ALONE if they just tried. Imagine rendering the whole amp cranking and cab micing procedure almost obsolete? Seriously, if they achieve with relative similarity the results they have with certain EQs that Alex B has modeled, except for cabs, I would not even consider taking a mic to one ever again. First thing up for sale would be my OS.

Just downloading the free bundle now, looks like it includes a reverb and a EQ of some sort? Are the verbs anygood with the free bundle?

Yeah I had a look at his stuff and got some of his freebie addons. The black series *API* EQ looks awesome. Plus a black master EQ....mmmmm

How well are the reverbs working in nebula?
I'm missing great reverb but don't want to spend the money on the lexicon bundle...
Do some of you use it with a vst to AU adaptater? How it work? thanks!

You're right for the cab sim; I remember reading some thread here, and results were great! minus this highs problem.

Hope they will make a standalone plugins in their "Powered by Nebula product line".
That would be a great product!

You wouldn't believe. The high-end boost on it is godlike. The algorithmic plugs don't touch it.

For a great comparison you can get the free API550B programs on nebula-programs.com (or net or whatever it was) and compare them directly to the Waves. I seriously had to laugh at the 'venerated' Waves API bundle after I did so.

I just tried AquaVox and it didn't do much for me at all. Okay, it's just meant to be a pre-amp emulation and so it's very subtle, but I really don't see the point in it ... except for having a nice looking GUI :)

Ive got no cash so splash at the moment but would you recommend even the free API program you speak of for a bit of master bus EQ tweaking? Im due to master my EP at the end of the week and looking for something with a bit of colour. This sounds like it could do the trick better than the general EQ's I use for mixing?

@smy1: That's been the general impression on GS so far. I've not used AcquaVox. I know I'm happy with the programs I do use though.

@The Shred: Not sure for mastering. You can def try it. No harm done really since it's free (though I think it only works with commercial Nebula versions).
