This thread just reminded me of a dream I had last week:
Devin Townsend came to visit me in the dream, enthusiastic like a teenager in a liquor shop.
He had some new gadget with him and said: "check this cool thing out", plugged my guitar in it,
played some random heavy riffs; it sounded better than Axe-Fx II.
This little thing was a Pocket Pod II.
I woke up right after that, scratched my head awhile and started laughing. So maybe..?

It might be just PR talk, but if they're going on about a change, I guess it should not be just a continuation and evolution of their current products but something at least mildly revolutional. But it might just be me being a bit naive 
Honestly who knows. Line6's reputation time and time again is to repackage the same technology and call it new. Every once in a while it is something new though. Like from PODxt/x3 to POD HD, for example. To me it's too soon for them to have a totally new product, given their track record and time between products. Sort of like Apple and the iPhone where they have been doing a major update every other model year (3G, 3GS, 4, 4S..).
