pretty sick if you ask me. You buy this thing and you have 16 channel interface, in ear mixing solutions, consistent mix and lvl balances between shows, vocal fx and compression/feedback suppression. And Multitrack recorder for portable or live use.
If this thing is solid, im actually really impressed. This is pretty innovative I think, i know digital mixers exist but this could be a very affordable/band oriented one.
And to the guys saying "let the engineer do their job", you have to remember most places aren't fortunate enough to have an Andy Sneap Forum member doing the mixes at FOH. Can't tell you how many terrible local engi's I've heard do locals. This could be very useful for us experienced recording/mixing engi's who are also in bands.
I dunno how often you gig but at $2500 for the mixer you could be better off hiring an "Andy Sneap forum member" to do FOH for your shows. You might save money not to mention presets can't take into account the acoustics of each room. You'd also make the house engineer/venue's lives easier as well as any bands that may have to play after you since I think it's fair to assume it'll take slightly longer to reconnect everything. And even if it didn't you still have no guarantees that you'll get a good sound if you're on stage.
