New Opeth album announced

I'm pretty sure if you put a poll of Borknagar, the preference will be largely for the first 2 albums, followed by the next 2 with a smaller number of votes.

Seems more of a bell curve favoring Quintessence and Empiricism.

IMO the band had been at its peak through its first 5 albums, then a slight decline. I'll wait until this year's album before I assess a trend.

Or does to it. Opeth's covers haven't been that great, namely The Maiden and Celtic Frost ones. I liked that Soldier of Fortune one though.
