I don't like the guitar tone, however the choir is utilized well like the female vox on Stronghold

That guitar tone might take some getting used to. Overall, I'm liking this more than Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame.

After a few listens, I'm more or less fully adjusted to the guitar tone, and the choir use is absolutely hypnotic. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing this in its entirety.

im guessing that last scream might have been part of the short mix, just so it had some sort of ending? Or maybe i'm completely wrong.

Summoning might be one of the greatest bands ever, for a lot of reasons. This new material sounds every bit promising.

Sounds great. The keyboard section right before the choir kicked in(early in the song) was a bit annoying, though, but I'll probably adjust to it on future listens. This should be great.

I'm encouraged as this seems to be a definite improvement on the previous (quite excellent in their own right) two albums. Stronghold and Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame were great, but they saw some rockish elements slipping in, and a basic stasis in sound and concept. This appears to be rather more ambitious, and they have developed more complexity in their orchestration for the first time since the Dol Guldur/Nightshade Forests sessions.
