Next Testament CD

Did no one else hear True American Hate? Someone uploaded to youtube, and it was ripped down 20 minutes later.
It sounds awesome.

I've got to admit I couldn't resist and listened to the song. It's fantastic. I hope nothing more leaks, though. It's still over a month 'til the release date. The album should remain a secret, save for the singles.

Also what's the point of having the same songs as a bonus track, when it's just a different drummer?

Don't suppose you could tell me where to listen to it? After all the release date push backs, I feel like I deserve to hear at least one song before the album's release. lol :(

Edit: It's okay, I've just found the song, and it is absolutely awesome! If the rest of the album is like this, it will be even better than TFOD. :)

Eric and Alex duelling leads is just amazing! I think the main harmony lead is played by Eric, The main solo I think is Alex/Eric/Alex+Eric/Alex

According to Eric, Chris Adler's drumming on the song is very different to what Gene did on it. So I'll be very interested to hear both versions!

PM me a link please. Thanks.

But the song with Chris drumming instead is a bonus track, and an extended version of a song is another. The extended one should just be the "real" one.

Agreed. The extended version should just be the album version. Putting an edited version of a song on an album just seems lame to me... I'll likely replace the shortened version with the full version in the actual album tracklist when I get it.

Glad you found a link to the new song, I'd have PMed the song to you though if you hadn't found it. :) Alex is totally on fire on that track, his solos are awesome!

Earth Shattering. There is no other way to put it into words. Testament's new album truly stands in a league of its own.

First day buyer of Dark Roots of Earth.

So supposedly this is one of three "thrash" songs on DROE, and all the other ones are melodic apparently.

How is "thrash" and "melodic" in opposition anyway? I understand "thrash" means brutal to you, but "True American Hate" is both in my ears. Anyway, Testament's great at all kinds of songs and let's hope for some variety on DROE
