NFL 2009

So the Saints released Mike McKenzie, I'm guessing we're going to go for Vontae Davis now instead of Malcom Jenkins.

Bears dont need a qb, they need a WR that can catch the ball and run decent routes.
Im sold that Orton is the Bears QB for the next however many years. The guy is a full on leader and is good enough to win some games.

Agreed. I'm a Purdue homer but the guy could be really good if he had some receivers to throw to. They need to patch the holes in the o-line and add a stud receiver then they've got the makings of a good offense honestly.

Hester is a shit WR, he has bad hands and can NOT run routes worth shit, he is really only good for his ability to make the occasional HUGE play

Orton is a terrible fit for the Bears' offense. The only thing Hester can do is run fly routes, and Orton can't throw a pass beyond 15 yards with any kind of consistency. He never was able to hit Hester on a deep bomb. For a quarterback who's supposed to be a caretaker, his TD/INT ratio is poor.

The Bears should trade as many picks as they need for Cutler. It's not like they ever draft a good player in the first round. I want to say that Urlacher was the last pick that really panned out.

Cutler hasn't been that impressive during his career. I understand why Denver wanted Cassell, as Cutler is consistently inconsistent. Has great games against bad teams and sucks against good ones. He didn't deserve to go to the pro bowl, but neither did Favre so whatever.

I think that Detroit will trade a number 1 and 2 pick for him. No team will give up two number 1s, but that might be Denver's plan. Shop Cutler for higher than his worth, and keep him as no one will buy.

So, the Bears traded Orton, 2009 and 2010 first round picks for Cutler. What a dumb fucking trade. Who the fuck is Cutler going to throw to? The Bears should have just kept Orton and drafted some receivers for Orton instead. Now, not only did they lose 2 first round picks, but they have to take on Cutler's contract too. What a bunch of dumbshits.

It's a good trade for both teams. Good QBs will make their receivers better. He's throwing to his college WR Earl Bennett, who set all the SEC receiving records with him at Vanderbilt. The Bears are terrible at making first round picks. The last good one was Urlacher. They are just bad at evaluating offensive talent.

He's easily worth first round picks. If Cutler was in this draft, he'd easily be the #1 pick. The Bears have the #18 pick this year, in a weak draft, and they're going to have a pick in the 20s next year.

It's an amazing trade for the Broncos. Sold QB, and two first rounders.
Bears got raped.
Hope Cutler has fun throwing to Rashied Davis. Fucking Christ!
At least im a 49'ers fan too. They are doing nothing but getting better.

I take my statement back about the picks, they are as follows:

Bears give up a 2009 1st round pick, a 2009 3rd round pick, a 2010 first round pick, and Kyle Orton for Jay Cutler and a 2009 5th round pick. Ouch.

Weak draft? huh?
